Garbage Pick-Up
The Town of Green Lake DOES NOT provide garbage pick up. You can arrange for service from either of the following vendors that serve the town:
NOTE: If your property is in the Green Lake Sanitary District or the Little Green Lake Rehabilitation District (LGLP&RD) your garbage is picked up by their services as part of your taxes to those jurisdiction. In addition, if you are in the LGLP&RD, recycling is picked up on the same day as garbage. Please separate garbage and recycling and place in separate bags.
Bulk Waste Day
The next Bulk Waste Day will be held at the Town Hall on the second Saturday of June 2023 (subject to change).
Recycling Center
The Recycling Center is located at N2298 County Road A. It is a combined service of the Towns of Green Lake, Mackford, and Manchester, and the City of Markesan. The purpose of this site is to provide a recycling drop off location for township residents, and a drop off site for residents of all four communities for yard waste, white goods, and electronics recycling. City of Markesan residents are not allowed to bring standard recycling items (paper, glass, plastic.etc.) to the Recycling Center, as the City has curbside pick up of recyclable materials.
The Recycling Center is only for residents of the four communities that participate in and pay for the maintenance of the site.
The Recycling Center is open Saturdays, 8:00am to 2:00pm, except for holiday (Jan. 1, July 4, Dec. 24, or Dec. 25), if those dates fall on a Saturday.
The disposal of certain items require a fee. Please see the fee schedule listed below.
